Except with Paradigm Airlines, they say they are descending into NY but all of a sudden you find out you've landed in Singapore and you have another 20 hours to go.
They then keep you penned into to boarding lounge stating the plane is "boarding soon" and keep you there for hours, preventing you going to the Changi shops and bars. You just end up watching the aircrew faff about.
