Websurfer, looks to me that you have seriously understated the BFC loss on McCains contract.
From numbers presented in this forum BFC milk cost is over 55c litre. 10litres milk produces 1kg Mozzarella. So Milk cost of 1kg Mozzarella is $5.50.
McCains contract is 3600 tonnes at $20m (min) - price per kg approx received ex McCains is $5.555. Where is the MARGIN?
McCain contract at 3600 tonnes is approx 30% of BFC annual Mozzarella production (Roadshow doc). So 70% of BFC Mozzarella output has to cover Mozzarella Overhead recovery and margin. Note in BFC streams on hotcopper that USA Mozzarella is available at A$5.10-5.30kg.
So lactoferrins has to have big margins. No disclosure in Roadshow doc.
Running innto EOFY 20/21 results announcement (end August) looks like BFC shareholders are going to get much "spin about nothing".
