Chant admitted the 60 yo was infected by a hospital employee
who worked in a virus ward and the ward where to 60 yo was
located.
Obviously nothing has been relearned by the current health
service about running a water tight quarantine programme.
Fancy allowing anyone in a virus quarantine ward being
allowed to even walk through another ward. Or off the
premises.
This would not have happened in the "old days" that I
remember. (probably)
Once upon a time hospitals had Nurse's Quarters. In
an epidemic, Nurses in the quarantine ward could have
been housed safely on-site.
A good dose of pre-penicillin medical training is required
but its too late now.
