PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY Concept Sports (CCS) distributes licensed branded consumer products via event and wholesale merchandising.
INTERNATIONAL EVENTS: On-site concession licenses provide CCS with the exclusive right to retail apparel and accessories at events. Examples include the Rugby World Cup 2003, the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games 2002 and the Sydney Olympic Games 2000. At international events CCS operates via a superstore format, which are large venues (typically 1,000 - 3,500 sqm) that allow the organizing committee to showcase the range of products in one location. CCS decides how the retailing is to occur, the number of retail outlets (usually no less than 50 merchandising outlets), product selection, and superstore layout and position. CCS has been awarded the on-site event merchandising rights to the Athens Olympic Games 2004 and Euro 2004 (European Football Championships). The process to obtain a license to distribute products at international events begins 18 months - 2 years prior to the event.
ANNUAL AND RECURRING EVENTS: CCS has the rights to supply merchandise at the Australian Grand Prix, Australian domestic and International cricket (with operations at six stadiums over six states), State of Origin rugby league and the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
WHOLESALE BUSINESS: CCS has exclusive territory based licenses to design, manufacture and distribute sporting apparel and accessories from brands including National Basketball League, Major League Baseball, Australian Grand Prix and F1 teams, Cricket Australia, Rugby League State of Origin, Victorian Racing Club, ALF clubs, ARL clubs, and the Australian Olympic Committee. Products are distributed to retailers including Rebel, Footlocker, Myer and Sportsco.
