What I don't understand how tls felt they could continue to get the USO payments from the govt. And why the USO payments continue when the plan for nbn whether under labor or coalition plan was for nbn to cover 99% of population including nbn's 2 satellites for remote connectivity.
Then tls claims they have 99% mobile coverage.?
Now these govt USO payments which is not chicken feed,my understanding is the figure is $270m ?
Why did thodey and penn not have included the reduction of this USO payment in nbn agreement.
It doesn't make sense, are these USO payments for the 1% of Australia not inhabited by humans for the kangaroo's.?
Or are the claims of 99% coverage by tls and nbn bs.
There are wide spread community centres all over Australia in various forms, why not install free phones in those centres.
Sounds like typical govt both sides and tls bad planning regarding nbn agreement .
