This is not true. These are patients that have failed all other treatment options. While the trial is powered to detect CR rates above 20% (from memory), from a clinical perspective any response higher than 40% would be considered important. Even bridging 30% of these patients to a stem cell transplant (i.e. chance of a cure) would get a lot of clinical attention.
