Strategic capital raise. It could mean that Samsung SDI is investing $Xm into the expansion. The same way VW has invested 300 million USD into QuantumScape, they want equity. These companies won't just give Novonix money without anything in return. And a company won't just buy common stock that means Novonix gets $0 out of it. The only way to give money and receive equity is through a capital raise.
