No one ever claimed vaccines made you immuned, vaccines enable the body to fight the infection more effectively.
The only way to live with COVID-19 is to get people's immune systems to a place where COVID-19 is no longer life threatening. No different from influenza.
Vaccines do far more good than cleaning surfaces.
