the flipside to this watershed announcement was that it represented Biomira electing NOT to take up worldwide rights to CVac . . . . which they were entitled to . . .. . . but would have required that they fund the Phase III trial, and pay PRR a market rate royalty (presumably high single figures).
The spin from PRR was that Biomira had changed direction and was not interested in CVac any more. . . .. but still, Biomira was a bigger international company that said "NO" TO CVAC.
Maybe the path is a bit easier now thanks to Dendreon etc., but let's not see only positives, hey. . . .
