Based on recent MDT’s announcements I did some calculations on current asset value and debt for MDT.
The new revaluation (ann. on 23/07) advised US$1.4 billion for MDT’s shopping centre. MAD’s 32 Ex-mervyn assets were valued at US$160 million. If there is no reduction on these assets the total current asset value would be around 1.56 billion. MDT recently extended a loan of US$152.7 million (ann. on 04/08) which represents about 11% of total debt, suggesting the current total debt should be around US$1.39 billion. This advises net asset value to be about 170 million and debt gearing be about 89%.
There could be mistakes in my calculations and could someone provide more precise calculations.
