If Steven was sitting in front of the board of directors, what reason could he give to justify any possible raising of capital?

With 4 years cash, a larger safety net would be off the table in Prescient Therapeutics circuses...Four years is about as big you will ever have.

You would need to be expanding operations that the current operating cash flow no longer supports, eg a registrational trial etc.

So if Steven was expecting to ramp operational activity expenditure, you would likely see an announcement first followed by the capital raise to support it...Certainly not the other way around...This isn't a mining stock with suprise expansion and I can't see the board approving a sophisticated placement under the current strength of ptx position.

If I was Steven, I would be very comfortable as I imagine the board are with the company financial position.

I would monitor the next 12 months data from the various projects, namely ptx-100 and I'd carefully assess my capacity in the near future at any given time to successfully raise equity. If the data was poor, I'd possibly consider raising before the end of the expanded cohort as insurance despite still having 3 years cash reserves around that time. If the data is positive I'll hold until I drop the bombs, then possibly consider a raise to support the registration trial if approved but keeping a tight share register would be at the forefront and with a strong balance sheet I'd be in a great position to protect that for shareholders. I think Steven would be thinking a long these lines.

I'd love to have something so awesome right now that could justify a CR but I fear if Peter was to propose that to the board at the minute he wouldn't survive the meeting nor ever be gainfully employed again.

Reality is, we have 4 years cash and no real prospects of rapid expansion that would require such a large injection of cash that $16m wouldn't already support, we aren't opening plants around the world or drilling for gold or launching registrational trials...Yet.
