Nice to see a fresh set of eyes on the USD POG Robbbbbb (how many b's is there?)

Anyway like you say it is the direction of the USD that is of main importance - chartists generally seem bullish USD (based obviously on various patterns) although the fundamentals state otherwise. But then that ain't nothing new.

What really makes me wonder is what part the Chinese have played in the strength of the AUD - on their shopping spree of Aus resources. I did read an article which stated by the by that they were buying - but not sure the extent and on what that view was based (other than that I can think of the reason stated above).

AUD is seasonally strong during this part of the year as is Gold - but this ain't normal times.
