I find it odd investor physiology that grumbling about the price RRL paid for Tropicana without ceasing somehow eases the pain? Tropicana is part of RRL and its value today. The company’s assets are either worth more than $2.40 per share or not?
Although Tropicana was perhaps not a screaming bargain at the current POG, the sale process was competitive and I kind of doubt that RRL offered more than 5% above the next best offer. If you think that they did you should really question whether you would want to have a shareholding in a company that would do this.
