Today's trading activity highlights something mentioned at the AGM last year. I think it was asked whether the low share price would allow a low ball takeover through on market accumulation. I believe it was HD who said it wouldn't happen because if it was attempted the price would run and we would all be happy to sell out and count our profits (paraphrasing of course).

Seeing as a little over 2 millions shares traded this morning can run the price up 8%, just imagine someone trying to grab a couple hundred million shares on market, there would be no way to stealth that move.

I think that holders will get fair value whether there is a deal or on market move, how much depends on the technology, as long as we don't get baffled by shenanigans, no one can "steal" from us.
