Where to now for long term investors of Telstra, page-11576

GR,enjoy the moment.U have done well nice capital gains,nice div.
Having said that plse show me where the turn around is after deducting the sale of 49% of towerco then having to lease it back,the sale of pitt st then having to lease it back.As far as i can see with out these prime asset sales and they are prime assets there is 'no' turn around.
Without the sale of the valuable assets the buy back would not have been possible and imo the media headlines would not be positive.
I just can't see how it is regarded as clever.It couldn't be more simple sell valuable prime assets lease them back and use the funds to buy back shares.
Bond yields will be low for many years so investors have to park their money some where.
Digicel what was it $3b with imo leo satellite constellation head winds,the $350m health acquistion well we r in the middle of covid but still can tls run this business .?
In short if penn leaves i will read what new ceo says then maybe re enter.
I'm starting to look at infrastructure stocks even with relatively high debt as i believe interest rates will stay low,including the US.
ps i read the occassion announcement by aussie broad band,simple things like rolling out their own fibre in economic areas,making an agreement with tls w/sale to access approx 120 poi on the nbn etc they appear to be run sensibly,almost like when tpg started.
ps i didn't read but have the nbn one off payments finished that supported the special 3 div.?
ps i still feel there could be some good buying opportunities unfortunately that have been caused by lockdowns in the future.Not that i'm following the stocks but brickwork nsw closures and transurban probably give an indication of the many companies that may present as buying oppotunities in the future.
