ERG Group – Renounceable Rights Issue
ERG’s Renounceable Rights Issue closed on Friday 13 August 2004.
ERG’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that shareholders subscribed to 88.07%
(295,423,498) of their entitlements to the 335,442,013 shares offered.
Under the terms of the underwriting agreement, the Underwriter and therefore the subunderwriters
to the issue have been offered the remaining 11.93%.
A large number of applications from shareholders were received for Shortfall Shares.
However, due to the high subscription rate and the underwriter’s take-up, the Board expects
that application monies for Shortfall Shares will be refunded to shareholders.
New shares issued under the Renounceable Rights Issue are expected to be allotted on
23 August 2004, and a holding statement will be sent to shareholders following the allotment.
