    Well it was a two horse race eagle, backed by science, ie ,the rainfall in Perth had diminished, from what it was some 30 years ago.
    So, we had cols canal, or Desal.
    Cols canal would have cost a fortune, and with the possibility, that whatever water might have got here, would have evaporated, sanity prevailed.
