I believe solar panel prices have already bottomed and solar as a whole will not exceed 20% of total energy output anytime soon. As a comparison EU is only 18%, China and the US are 10% reliant on solar. Solar generation is a third the cost of Thermal generation. The problem with solar is storage and if China, EU and US have not been able to build solar storage on a large industrial scale then Australia will never be leading in this area.Wind and Hydro are too volatile and reliant on distance and will never be a large energy source for a vast country like Australia.
