First of all, AGL wanted to import LNG, not LPG.
What stopped them was the fact that what they wanted to do would trash a Ramsar area, covered by international conventions.
The environmental evidence was quite clear cut.
Really stupid mismanagement to push ahead despite it being obviously unacceptable and a non-starter.
Wasted $130,000,000 of shareholder's money.
The CEO leaves and the chairman gets a big pay rise.
And no one understands the company split except what some have said, which is so they can walk away without doing rehabilitation.
