    carbon pollution reduction scheme doesn't hit australian farmers directly for another 4 years.

    indirect effects will be showing up earlier.

    if you are a victorian dairy farmer,the green push to dismantle the victorian dairy industry north of the dividing range was a joke a couple of years ago, but with dairy processing companies squarely under the gun,and a relentless push to put the dairy irrigation water back into the river --the little increases in every input,with a lower price doesn't look good.

    personally,i am letting my plant run down,and see no reason to use other than maintainance rates of fertiliser,until i see what they will do to my business in 4 years time. you can laugh off a lot of stupidity if you are less exposed.
