so much worries about the merger, the share price for tomorrow will be way more impacted by the global oil price than this news so stop worrying about the thing that hasn't even happened yet.
IMO taking over dirty assets from BHP will be a much better decision than drilling new sites, please do not forget that you are investing in the company making money on oil / gas and everyone using this energy sauce for another decades.
