It's hard to believe, with all the people they employ, that they couldn't have foreseen this possibility? They are supposed to be constructing something that could operate for a 100 years or more. This is simply a reaction between the fluid and the casing, it's so basic, all they have is fluid and a casing!
It's as if they ignore all the information and experience out there and just wing it for some reason?
