    @It investor; the admission of Covid patients to a hospital is a game-changer. Once that happens they are no longer able to operate 'as normal', leading to the cancellations of elective surgery etc.

    Normal hospital operations as such ED's become problematic and health professional who normally work across multiple sites suddenly find themselves being furloughed.

    NSW has a great hospital system but it's rules of engagement have been changed and even its Minister is at pains to emphasise that the system is under great stress.
