AFAICT Regulatory authorisation of the EIA for the additional 10ktpa Li2CO3 production operation is NOT a requirement to "enable drilling to expand Rincon".

Based on details provided by the company, it appears that there is an intermediate approval stage whereby resource expansion works (i.e. deeper drilling and associated assessment) could progress, even if the final authorisation for the 10ktpa operation is still being processed.





I expect an announcement of the approved drilling works prior to the final 10ktpa EIA approval, and with that, commencement of exploration drilling that is essentially independent of the 10ktpa expansion.
The 10ktpa expansion does not RELY on deeper drilling, although the request (and associated environmental impact assessment) for deeper drilling may be contained in the 10ktpa EIA for simplicity.
