"The guy (you are surely a guy) who posts solely on AGL"

You have obviously not searched my posting records. I don't solely post on AGL and I hold investments in clean energy stocks as well. You need to at least look at my profile before making yourself look like a fool making statements like this.

"bag holds all the way from (at least) $12ish right down near $7 while the rest of the market has soared lecturing others on financial rectitude on a thread created to plead for a government bailout for the company’s dud investments? Am I right?"

If you think you are taunting me like I am a juvenile investor, you've got a thing coming for you. Bag holding is when you hold something that is of no value (like some unnamed milk company I had commented before) and yet you still believe in it. AGL is not of no value, just like BHP was not of no value when the Samarco incident hit. BHP went down to $15 because it was mispriced by the market. Nobody can argue BHP is not worth billions in value because of its mining assets just like nobody can argue AGL is not worth billions because of its utility value in society. So no, your "bag holding" labeling of my involvement and attempt at making me look like a juvenile has not worked. Instead of suggesting me of being a faux Warren Buffet, why don't you actually listen to what the man did say? "Price is what you pay, value is what you get?" Price is only relevant to pigs in the market. Value is what matters to investors. I don't care if AGL is $12 or $5; that's the market price and it fluctuates everyday. But I do know it's intrinsic value; it's place in energy generation in Australian society. That does not change in days or months. The only people who care about the market price are the "make a quick buck" crowd who has an attention span of a month or two.

In fact, all you have done is further make yourself look like a mindless greenie follower. You cannot even come up with a counter-argument so here comes the ad-hominem attacks; attacking the person instead of the issue. Instead of addressing the vastly outnumbering green articles crying like a baby for renewables versus the singular thread on hotcopper by someone bringing forth an idea, you chose to label me a bag holder. Not very much different from the Christo12 guy I put on ignore.

Please, come up with the math like baldynumbers did or at least a cogent argument and then we can have an intelligent discussion.
