On the JPU reference price, it used to be very important and a significant proportion of coal sales were priced with some linkage to it. Since the rise of China and India as large markets that generally purchase on spot, most sales have switched to index-linked prices. I would estimate that <10% of all Newcastle volumes are sold at JPU prices, and probably even less in a rising market such as this year.
