My investment hypothesis is purely on them being in an oligopoly of energy supply and distribution
This is a strange hypothesis. After Bayswater and Loy Yang close down, AGL will be a minor player in energy supply. They do not have a development pipeline and are competing against much larger competitors for assets.
Further, they don't own any distribution assets.
