The psychology of possible 'harsher restrictions to be imposed by Premier(s)' is interesting.
The Victorian media was full of that this morning.
On a visit to a local inner Melbourne WOW - mid-sized, but through the week generally well used - it was not just very busy for 1030 on a Saturday morning (usually not peak time, which comes a bit later) but items like milk and noodles were almost denuded. However as we should all know, in every state and territory, the only time WOW individual stores have shut is for 'deep cleaning' when a 'positive case" has been publicised.
With Daniel Andrews announcing that rural Victoria will from 1300 hours join Melbourne in lockdown, restrurants and cafes will be thrown into chaos - lots of food wastage - but despite WOW remaining open, as word spreads there's bound to be panic buying.
