"Questions. What does Mscf mean and does it suggest that the tested Zone was at the oil/gas interface? If so does that mean that the next production test (presumably higher up the hole) is likely to be a gas result?"
Answers:
1)Mscf = Million standard cubic feet
2)It means that AN oil/gas interface was tested, but not necessarily the only one.
3)If they are in a stacked pay situation, and the reservoirs are not in connection with each other, then there may be more than one oil/gas interface. Alternatively, if the next test zone is in a different formation with a seal rock in between the two zones, there may be oil in the above zone depending on hydrocarbon migration and the geological history (i.e fault breaching etc) of the upper zone.
