You should know better than to call ex dividend inevitable . Just check some company charts.
If she does dip dont forget you need to get about 40 cents of dip
Shorts could be hoping the buying pressure holds of till after ex dividend thinking that the retail punter is thinking she will dive post dividend only for it to rocket the other way
