Investment bank have a lot to do with liquidity and relationship. I don’t think those who joined BJ - will do so lightly without tangible benefits. You would think some of the smartest bankers know a thing or two about risk and rewards.
MFG in this space may try to become a mini Macquaire (or so they hope)
As for Chinese tech, there is a lot of noise and political uncertainties, but they are still extremely profitable because of scale and growing in double digits. look at Alibaba and tencent results, the revenue and profit growth speaks for itself.
