I think the R&D is necessary to compete and get ahead. They want the platform to sell itself. If you look at general marketing and admin expenses, these increased less than revenue growth. So the business is scaling from that point of view. It'd be good to see an increase in gross margins. I think the reason it's low is because of their sales structure, i.e. paying off Telstra for referrals. This should increase long-term, but I could be wrong.
The R&D won't stay elevated forever. It's not like it will be such a higher percentage of sales in the long-run. I'm not too worried about the cash burn as they have it, so should be putting it to goof use. The improved platform will provide opportunities to sell more features and upsell current customers. It's operating in a big market so plenty of growth moving forward.
