they need capital, in a market which is against a jnr exploration company. In relation to the jv for the ground in WA. RDS have a large holding of ground, it would be nieve to assume they sold the jewel in the crown. I expect the look in a few JV/funding before they chase the jewel. They have always said they are not chasing just any discovery but a world class one.
