I was talking to a senior IMF figure today just back from another overseas trip who thought that the Australian dollar would go higher than the US dollar and concurred with the idea that gold would go to $US1,300 but less in Australian dollars. Mind you it's only an opinion. I does seem ready for a take-off though in US dollars.
