There seems to be no stopping of US ferrosilicon prices, with spot material hitting the $1.90 per lb level for standard-grade ferrosilicon. The latest increase was supported by the news that Ferroglobe’s Bridgeport, AL smelter will be closed in September while Calvert is having power problems.
