Thanks, I have had many similar replies from friends with EV's and from what I could find online, and battery managment systems have come a long way in the newer models, my Model 3 has an LFP batttery and I can charge to 100% without risking degardation, unlike the previous models were you have to try to limit your charge to ~80% for best longeveity. The LFP batteries are expected to outlast the life of the car, which appears to be also the case with all the original battery packs manufactured several years ago...no wonder current (proven) battery tech will be very hard to displace, especially in 2-3 years time once all the new giga LiB factories stsor pumping out millions of cells on an hourly basis, cost of batteries will become insignificant when compared to todays costs.
