I drove past the Eastridge orchard in the last 6 months; the “new” plantings are only a fraction of the orchard but are now already at least 5-6 years old, which could yield 12-14 T/Ha according to Qld Dept of Ag.
Some of the Atherton tablelands orchards are young, but according to a 2018 investor report those ‘new plantings’ would now be 5-8 years old.
With increasing maturity I would expect their yield increases should have gone up by more than 15% when the rest of the industry increased 50%.
