The problem is, a lot of us (well, some of us... well me) bought the shares on the basis of the dividend policy as Precis has said. I may have misinterpreted that (I often do). And while I am all for reinvesting profits to keep the company strong and hopefully getting the share price up, it seems to me that the SP has crashed because of the underlying commodity?. If the demand for the commodity has crashed and therefore the income has crashed you'd think we'd just get a reduced dividend?
It just feels like a kick in the balls because we get 1) no dividend and 2) a drastic decline on the SP. One would be more bearable without the other...
