I tend to scalp as my preferred method - it better suits my impatient nature and I prefer my stops reasonably tight to protect my iddy biddy portfolio. I find with MM's(my) stops often get taken out during overnight shennanigans.
One of the biggest challenges with scalping (depending on your method) is the tendancy to over-trade. Robbb's suggestion of working from a larger timeframe down is a good way of limiting this. I'm also selective as to the times I trade on particular markets to avoid overtrading.
I know Wink is a scalpaholic and will have some thoughts on this as well. Good trading everyone.
