the 'spread' of Covid has never really been a problem - and, still isn't.
We are surrounded by viruses all the time - and, I'd bet that there's heaps of novel ones --
but, because they don't appear to affect us - we just don't know about it.
The problem with covid is the pressure it puts on health systems - that's it - end of story
to stop the pressure on health systems - there's only 2 ways - either slow the spread - gives us more time to allow it to become endemic - or to vaccinate -- which means that although we will get it - we won't end up in hospital with it - certainly not in ICU
everyone knows that Covid is going to spread - that's a given -
