Five maskless men have been slapped with $5,000 fines each for breaching stay-at-home orders – after revealing to officers they had tested positive to COVID-19.NSW Police allege they stumbled across the group during proactive patrols in Leppington, southwestern Sydney, at about 11.30am on Monday.
The five men, aged between 23 and 32 years old, were allegedly without face masks, sitting at a table on a footpath on Optimism Street.
Police spoke to the group, who revealed they tested positive to coronavirus in rural NSW.
