Yea I’m not sure why they aren’t drilling deeper?
diamond drilling would be a hell of a lot cheaper than $250k/metre but maybe the costs per metre become a lot more once you go over 200m?
which would make sense to me as it becomes a lot of work and is time consuming for the drillers and off Siders the deeper they drill, having to feed 3m rods at a time just to get to the depth to drill then pull 3m length rods back out to retrieve the core sample, which off memory is in 3 metre lengths which one will usually be used on hard ground. (Hope that made sense? Lol)
so basically it could be a cost saving and time saving initiative?
management could also use the DHEM survey to get a better picture on wether it’s viable to proceed, rather than doubling (or tripling?) the cost of drilling to find only 1 or 2 holes required deeper drilling maybe?
Also I’m not sure if 20A went to 400m as it sounded like a Phil’s Hill anomalies generalisation to me on the Bulls n bears interview…
I also can’t recall reading the depths of the anomalies on any announcements (only starting depths from surface)
maybe I missed that part somewhere?
