I think the worst bit that they talk about with "normalising" is depreciation. Its basically saying, "if we'd managed to build our assets for free, look how much money we would have made". Whattttttttttttttttttt
You can't just ignore depreciation. Its sunk costs. What now, we are doing an NPV of a new project but we are going to ignore the initial development cost?
