I also get what you’re saying but would you rather have an important position filled quickly with a candidate who you think is suitable (In this instance it happened to be men) or wait just to fill some gender diversity checkmark.
I seriously doubt that these men were hired over women just because they were men… seriously. I’m sure if a woman applied and was suitable they wouldn’t have refused her the position.
Gender diversity is definitely important but what I’m saying is unless Parkway chose Men over women with the same skill set just because they are Men there is no problem I see. At a 28M micro-cap company that needed to hire quickly I doubt you’ll get the luxury of building a 50:50 perfectly balanced team.
Personally at this stage of the company I don’t see the issue.
