The WA Premier Mark McGowan is a breath of fresh air when it comes to a sensible approach in dealing with Covid19 and protecting the people of Western Australia. He prefers to not let Covid 19 rip through the WA community whereas the federal govt seems to want WA to follow NSW when NSW reaches 70% vaccinations and open WA borders. If that is what they want its a crazy approach. Mark McGowan currently has Covid under control in WA so why would he want to prematuurely open the borders and let Covid rip to infect the people who are not fully vaccinated. I listened to Prof. Margaret Hellard of the Burnett Institute being interviewed and she seemed to be saying that we need to get vaccinations across Australia to 80% but preferably higher and we still need to have efficient contact tracing and where necessary other restrictions dependent on localised situations. Given the dynamic nature of this pandemic that sounds like a very sensible and professional approach to the issue

differce between Macca and morrislob is our PM is not risk adverse, he is willing to sacrifice hundreds of voters for the greater good, increased sales and profits for business and multinationals and hence greater tax receipts for the budget and praise for hymself.
