I saw that, agree, delusional agitators will try and use it to maximum advantage, but they are their own worst enemy;
They have to keep sensationalizing the issue or people will tune out, it has to be a big drama to keep their followers engaged (and donating money), but eventually any drama wears thin and people move on, which should be the opposite of what they want.
If they get what they want it just means more imported salmon and worse environmental outcomes elsewhere (and higher CO2 emissions per kg), or people switch to eating less sustainable types of meat.
Im surprised they are getting away with blaming the umpire.
The way forward is to look to scientific consensus on controversial issues and incremental improvements where possible, its an easy sell to the people that matter.
