Their cars to date (30000 last year)are using BMW engines, their promised electric cars are LFP at this point in time. Due end of 2021 (15000 in 2022 due to chip shortages)
The 500km Vinfast /LG car (VFe35 and VFe36)for their US entry still a pipe dream. As far as my research shows.
Anyway Vinfast has a long way to go, and their production process lacks innovation which ultimately means it will struggle to scale.IMO

Hope we sign up existing LG Chem or aspiring Samsung SDI....(Since talking about building a cell plant in Vietnam a year ago Samsung have inked deals and expanded elsewhere)
But who cares where the cells go.... unless it is tesla of course and then we enjoy the tesla affect.
Maybe Vingroup should get into cell production.
Vinfast still looks like a stunt by a large ego, hope he can get it to turn a profit at some point.
