If there were no value add to mining, LKAB would not do it, LKAB would not make a billion dollars USD a year in profit.
10% profit is 10% profit. I dont see why anyone would throw that away if its just blowing in the breeze. on a 500 million dollar mining effort that's 50 million. It's not the crumbs left over at the bottom of a bag of potato chips.
