Interesting article by the president and ceo of Skywater that puts a few things in perspective, not least the precarious situation that the U.S. finds itself in (and Aus by default) where TSMC produces 56% of the world’s chips and the home grown 12%. As stated chips underpin entire economies, if China were to officially annex Taiwan - a possibility for which the odds of actually happening in the new geopolitical era today have slimmed dramatically, then the good old USA would be in dire trouble with Xi and his pals in complete control of the majority of world supply.
Needless to say now that they have woken up the Whitehouse is a little worried with a raft of fiscal and legislative measures deployed.
