I'm new to this stock and also don't understand the valuation. Even if it's related to the fossil fuel sector being out of favour this company seems undervalued when compared to peers like WPL and fossil fuel companies in general.
WPL looks to be trading at around 8 to 9 historic EV/EBITDA and 1.5 book.
Beach is trading around 2 to 3 EV/EBITDA, 0.8 book and has, basically, no debt. Is WPL overpriced relative to BPT or is BPT under priced relative to WPL or are the business models too different to compare?
Also does BPT have any export gas sold into the JKM LNG market? Is it planning to by 2023 or beyond?
